I'm always drawn to the idea of three sisters...from the Weird Sisters in Macbeth, to Chekov's Three Sisters, to the Triplets of Belleville, literature and film are rife with iterations of these characters.  Oftentimes, it's as if a single woman's character has been divvied up into three bodies...so as to better understand the sum of its parts.
